1. Who we are

Gateway Family Monument Company ("Gateway," "we," "us," or "our") is a family-owned monument company located at 1850 East Pitman Ave., Suite M, Wentzville, MO 63385. We design, order, and install headstones, markers, and memorials for families across St. Louis, St. Charles, Lincoln, Warren, and Jefferson Counties.

2. Accepting these Terms

By using gatewayfamilymonuments.com (the "Site"), submitting a form, or contacting us through the Site, you agree to these Terms and to our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.

3. Website information

The content on this Site, including design examples, photos, and descriptions, is for general information. Photos and renderings are representative. Natural granite and other stone vary in color, grain, and markings, so your finished memorial will not exactly match any photo or sample shown on the Site.

Information on the Site does not create an order or a binding price. Quotes are provided in writing and are valid for the period stated on the quote.

4. Consultations and estimates

Consultations are free and carry no obligation. Written estimates are based on the information available at the time, including the cemetery's requirements. If the cemetery's rules, foundation requirements, or fees change, or if you change the design, we will let you know before any change in price.

5. Orders, deposits, and payment

• An order is confirmed only when you sign a written order agreement and we receive the deposit stated on that agreement.
• The remaining balance is due as stated on your order agreement.
• Cemetery fees, foundation fees, and permit fees may be charged by the cemetery and are separate from our price unless your order agreement says otherwise.

6. Design proofs and inscription approval

Before production, we provide a design proof showing layout, names, dates, wording, artwork, and emblems. Please review every detail carefully, especially spelling and dates. Once you approve the proof in writing, production begins based on that approved proof. Errors that appear on the approved proof are not our responsibility to correct at no cost. Errors we make that differ from the approved proof will be corrected at our expense.

7. Cemetery approval

Every cemetery sets its own rules for size, style, material, and installation. We prepare drawings and submit them to your cemetery on your behalf. Production begins only after cemetery approval. We are not responsible for delays or design changes required by a cemetery, but we will work with you and the cemetery to resolve them.

8. Timelines and installation

Estimated timelines are provided in good faith but are not guaranteed. Production and installation can be affected by cemetery approval, quarry and supplier schedules, ground conditions, weather, frozen ground, and cemetery scheduling. Installation is performed according to the cemetery's rules and schedule. We will keep you informed of any delays.

9. Changes and cancellations

You may cancel an order before you approve the final proof and before production begins. Because each memorial is custom made, once production has begun, deposits and costs already incurred (such as stone, carving, and engraving) may be non-refundable as stated in your order agreement. Design changes after approval may add cost and time.

10. Warranty

We stand behind our workmanship. Warranty terms for your memorial, including what is covered and for how long, are stated in your order agreement. Our warranty does not cover damage caused by cemetery maintenance equipment, vandalism, accidents, ground settling, acts of nature, or improper cleaning, or natural changes in stone over time.

11. Future lettering and additional services

Additional lettering, dates, cleaning, or repairs after installation are separate services and are quoted at the time you request them. Some cemeteries charge their own fees for this work.

12. Text messages and phone calls

If you provide your phone number and agree to receive messages, Gateway may contact you by call or text about your inquiry, consultation, order, proof approvals, installation scheduling, and related follow-up. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out at any time, or reply HELP for help. Consent to receive texts is not a condition of purchase. Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.

13. Reviews and photos

If you choose to share a review, testimonial, or photo with us, you allow us to display it on our Site and social media. We will not post photos of your family's memorial using your family's name without your permission.

14. Intellectual property

The Site's text, logo, graphics, and layout belong to Gateway or its licensors. You may not copy or reuse them for commercial purposes without our written permission. Custom designs we create remain our work product until the order is paid in full.

15. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent allowed by law, Gateway is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of the Site or our services. Our total liability for any claim related to an order will not exceed the amount you paid for that order.

16. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Missouri. Any dispute will be handled in the state or federal courts serving St. Charles County, Missouri. Before any formal action, we ask that you contact us so we can try to resolve your concern directly.

17. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The effective date at the top of this page shows when they were last updated. Your signed order agreement is governed by the Terms in effect when you signed it.
